The roster
Before you ask
Is the application the 45-minute session?
Yes. The questionnaire is only the first half. The application itself is the full 45 minutes, filmed continuously on two cameras and sent to us unedited. Nothing is decided on your numbers alone — they exist to scale your circuit so the footage means something.
What actually happens in those 45 minutes?
Continuous, non-stop high-endurance work alternating between assault bike, rower and lifting intervals scaled to your 1RM. No programmed rest, no scheduled breaks, and the clock never stops.
Can I stop the recording, or film it in parts?
No. One continuous take from the first rep to the last, on both cameras. A cut is the one thing that voids a submission, because the whole point of the record is that nothing was edited out.
What if I fail part-way through?
Send it anyway. Stopping is visible, it is scored, and how you handle the last ten minutes tells us more than a clean run does. A failed 45 is a submission. An edited 45 is not.
Where do I film it, and what do I need?
Film the qualifier application at your own gym or local box — you only need to capture the full performance continuously, following the submission guidelines. If you advance, we fly you to the competition location at our expense. Everything major is provided at the venue: assault bike, rower and weights loaded to your 1RM. Bring your own lifting shoes, chalk, and any belt, sleeves or accessories you train in.
Do I have to pay to travel?
No. The application is filmed where you already train. If you advance to a qualifier, your travel to the competition location is at our expense.
How do I send it?
Casting replies to your questionnaire on WhatsApp and takes it from there, including how to get a file that size to us. Do not upload anything publicly before you have spoken to them.
Who sees the footage?
Judges review it against rep depth, lockout and pace. Anything beyond judging is set out in the participation terms you sign before competing, and nothing is published outside what you have agreed to there.
Still unclear? Start the application and ask casting directly.
